How do I play?
Select a photo from your library or choose an image pack, pick a difficulty level, then drag puzzle pieces to merge them together. Adjacent pieces that belong next to each other will automatically combine when placed correctly.
What are the difficulty levels?
Easy (4x4), Medium (5x4), Hard (6x4), Hard+ (5x5), Expert (6x5), and Insane (10x10). Higher difficulties mean more pieces and a greater challenge!
Why does Puzzle Geek need photo access?
Puzzle Geek needs access to your photo library so you can select images to turn into puzzles. Your photos are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded anywhere.
How do Daily Challenges work?
A new puzzle is available every day. Complete it to maintain your streak! Your best score is tracked on the Game Center daily leaderboard.
What are Image Packs?
Curated collections of themed images you can puzzle through. Complete all 20 puzzles plus the final challenge to unlock replay at higher difficulties.
How do I change the theme?
Tap the gear icon on the main menu to open Settings, then tap "Theme" to choose from visual styles including Neon, Retro Arcade, Midnight, Sunset, Terminal, and Monochrome.
What is Focus Mode?
Focus Mode hides all UI elements and expands the puzzle to fill your entire screen. Tap the expand button (bottom-right corner during gameplay) to enter Focus Mode. Tap anywhere to reveal controls again.
How do I challenge a friend?
After completing a puzzle, tap "Challenge a Friend" to share your score. Your friend can open the link to play the exact same puzzle and compare times!
How do leaderboards work?
Your scores are automatically submitted to Game Center after completing puzzles. There are leaderboards for each difficulty level, a global high score board, and a daily challenge leaderboard.
What achievements can I earn?
15 achievements totaling 1000 points! Earn them by completing puzzles, reaching combo multipliers, and maintaining daily challenge streaks.
How do I view Game Center?
Open Settings from the main menu and tap "Game Center" to view leaderboards and your achievement progress.
What does "Remove Ads" include?
The one-time "Remove Ads" purchase permanently removes all banner ads and unlocks premium themes (Midnight, Sunset, Terminal).
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Settings from the main menu. If you've previously purchased "Remove Ads", it will automatically restore when the app connects to the App Store. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Can I play offline?
Yes! Puzzle Geek works completely offline. Game Center scores will sync when you reconnect.
My Game Center scores aren't appearing
Make sure you're signed into Game Center in your device Settings. Also verify you have an internet connection for scores to sync.
The app is running slowly
Try closing other apps to free up memory. If issues persist, restart the app or your device.
Tip: Build up larger merged groups before combining them into the final puzzle. Bigger sections are easier to place!
